With over 25 years of combined Human Resources and Operations management experience I started Ocana People Solutions in 2019 because I am passionate about supporting small businesses to develop professional people practices. Whilst I have held professional Human Resources roles from HR Business Partner through to Regional Director, I also have 10 years’ experience in Manufacturing Operations as a Manufacturing Manager and Operations Manager in the automotive sector, which sets me apart in my field.
I have extensive experience of managing industrial relations, recruitment and selection, training and development, monitoring and management of Human Resource best practices in line with business objectives, ensuring legal compliance in all aspects of employment law.
As an executive coach I help leaders focus on their business priorities while advancing their professional development goals. Using my own in-depth experience I support executives to achieve business priorities while growing personally and professionally. Applying a variety of methodologies and tools I help executives to identify areas for improvement, leverage their strengths, and lead more effectively.
I am a Senior Lecturer in Human Resources and Leadership at Liverpool John Moores University. I believe I have an outstanding ability to take what I know and apply it to get the best out of situations even whilst I am still learning.
I have a Masters’ Degree in Human Resources, which academically underpins my experience, and a Level 7 ILM Certificate in Executive Coaching and Mentoring.
